Melissa B.

My name is Melissa and I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist on the Thera-Peds team.  I earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Michigan-Flint and my Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a focus in Exercise Science from Oakland University.  My journey into OT was sparked by my experience as a caregiver for a child with Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  Observing her Occupational Therapists inspired me to want to make a meaningful difference in others’ lives as well.  I have worked specifically in pediatrics since becoming an OT.  I have a passion for working with children and facilitating their development of essential skills needed to participate in their activities of daily living.

Melissa is certified in Beckman Oral Motor and Learning Without Tears.
