Melissa B.

My name is Melissa and I am the newest member of the Thera-Peds team.  I earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Michigan-Flint and my Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a focus in Exercise Science from Oakland University.  My journey into OT was sparked by my experience as a caregiver for a child with Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  Observing her Occupational Therapists inspired me to want to make a meaningful difference in others’ lives as well.  I have worked specifically in pediatrics since becoming an OT.  I have a passion for working with children and facilitating their development of essential skills needed to participate in their activities of daily living.

Melissa is certified in Beckman Oral Motor.
